flowers darlink!

Dearest Minions,

Good day, I hope that you are cool and unburnt. This is my entry to this week's less is more challenge which is to use their header/banner as inspiration. As their banner features, flourishes, music, script and flowers it was hard to choose one, I settled on flowers, which is great because the All sorts blog challenge this week is use flowers. I am also entering into anything goes which is the challenge from chocolate coffee and cards, sounds so good - have them washed and sent to my tent!

The chipboard heart has been painted, then stamped with an old inkilyious stamp, then glazed with glossy accents. I went round the edge with a red sharpie to hide boring cardboard edges. The thank you is from a stampotique stamp, which apt as they are sponsoring Less is More this month. I used a weenie card for this, it is only 3'' by 3''.... aww dinky!

St Matilda in blue

Dearest Minions,

Greetings this is a ATC that I recently completed for a swap with the wonderful Lisa Sparkle. it is called St Matilda in blue. The stamps used are St Matilda by invoke arts available from the stamp attic, a corner stamp by Tanda stamps, the background is stamped with de stampenwinkle stamp which has old European script. I used distress inks throughout, weathered wood for the script, tumbled glass for the main background and blue jeans for the main images.

glamour, ball gowns, art and parking tickets

Dearest Minions good day,

Today I was lucky enough to go an exhibition on ball gowns at the V & A, it was exceptional. If you have the chance to go grasp it, with the tenicity of a traffic warden fining a ford feista which has acidentially parked in the wrong place (yes I did not see any signs at all and thought it was ok to park there... so wrong..) anyway the exhibition is beautiful and inspiring and if you are interested in design clothes a must see.

I struggled with this week's less is more challenge of paper piecing, as it is not something that I normally do. However after seeing some beautiful pink creations at the V&A, I decided to give it a go with some new papers I have bought - Almanac by Prima. I am not a massive pink fan and have not used pale pinks on stampotique beauties before; so I am also entering this for the stampotique challenge this week which is thinking outside the box. And creative inspirations anything goes... beacuase I CAN! (and my feet hurt.)

I think the sentiment should be said as a mantra, as feeling glam is as important as a great pair of shoes when stuff is being strutted.

Dreaming

Dearest Minions

Greetings. I got this digi from crafts and me on Saturday and have been playing with it all day, it is called "rest on the horizon" by Sara Burrier. I think it is so wonderfully delicat,e I saw it on Pinkbuds blog and used it as a reward for doing boring and necessary stuff, shark pits don't clean them selves...

I am entering it into these challenges:

Squirrel and the fox challenge 20 - make it sparkle
Pan Pastel challenge -anything goes

The image was printed directly on to the card and then coloured with flexi markers, stickles were then added to the tail to make it look more fishy. The wording underneath reads: in Ancient Greece another word for butterfly was soul.
here are couple more:

I kind of like the blue mermaid but she reminds me of Yumi from Ulysses 31 anyone else remember that cartoon?

Get well card

Dearest Minions,

This is my entry to macabre Mondays challenge which is a a tribute to the wonderful True Blood based on the Sookie Stackhouse books  by Charlene Harris. In several of the books Sookie ends up in hospital and gets a get well soon card from vampires. This is my version of a vampire get well card. I am also entering this into the Smudgy antics anything goes challenge.

The image is from smeared ink and the get well is an old HOTP stamp. I think this would be perfect for the next minion who gets man flu.
